Production from Gullfaks Sør
The Gullfaks Sør conventional oil field recovered 84.45% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2017. The peak production was approximately 24.95 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 571.00 Mmcfd of natural gas and 27.38 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2048. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 176.55 Mmboe, comprised of 33.10 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 635.41 bcf of natural gas reserves and 37.55 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Gullfaks Sør conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
