Gumusut-Kakap is a producing conventional oil field located in deepwater in Malaysia and is operated by Shell Malaysia. Production from Gumusut-Kakap
The Gumusut-Kakap conventional oil field recovered 66.05% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2016. The peak production was approximately 157.40 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2035. The field currently accounts for approximately 6% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 199.72 Mmboe, comprised of 199.72 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate. Gumusut-Kakap conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
