Johan Castberg is a conventional oil development located in deepwater in Norway and is operated by Equinor Energy. Production from the Johan Castberg conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2024 and is forecast to peak in 2026, to approximately 192,905 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2049.

The field is expected to recover 552.44 Mmboe, comprised of 552.44 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
