The La Amarga Chica unconventional oil field recovered 5.84% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2028. The peak production will approximately 62.53 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 45.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2059. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.

The field is expected to recover 294.59 Mmboe, comprised of 259.66 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 209.63 bcf of natural gas reserves. La Amarga Chica unconventional oil field reserves accounts 0.26% of total remaining reserves of producing unconventional oil fields globally.
