The Mero (Libra Noroeste) conventional oil field recovered 2.56% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2026. The peak production will approximately 586.03 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 270.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2056. The field currently accounts for approximately 3% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 2,803.20 Mmboe, comprised of 2,559.81 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 1,460.34 bcf of natural gas reserves. Mero (Libra Noroeste) conventional oil field reserves accounts 0.62% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional oil fields globally.
