Production from Pohokura
The Pohokura conventional gas field recovered 71.56% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2012. The peak production was approximately 11.23 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 171.00 Mmcfd of natural gas and 2.57 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2049. The field currently accounts for approximately 20% of the country’s daily output.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 82.04 Mmboe, comprised of 8.32 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 435.21 bcf of natural gas reserves and 1.19 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Pohokura conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.03% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
