Field participation details

The field is owned by CPC, Inpex, Korea Gas and Shell.

Production from Prelude

The Prelude conventional gas field recovered 31.77% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production expected in 2024. The peak production will approximately 26.07 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate, 8.02 thousand bpd of natural gas liquids and 473 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2039. The field currently accounts for approximately 4% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 257.36 Mmboe, comprised of 62.68 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate, 1,057.98 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves and 18.34 Mmbbl of natural gas liquid reserves. Prelude conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.09% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
