Scarborough is a conventional gas development located in deepwater in Australia and is operated by Woodside Energy Group. According to GlobalData, who tracks more than 34,000 active and developing oil and gas fields worldwide, Scarborough was discovered in 1979, lies in block WA-63-R, WA-61-R, WA-67-R, and WA-61-L, with water depth of around 3,088 feet. The project is currently in construction stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2026. Final investment decision (FID) of the project was approved in 2021. The development cost is expected to be $5,700 m. The Scarborough conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately seven wells and includes FPU and subsea trees.

Production from Scarborough
Production from the Scarborough conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2026 and is forecast to peak in 2034, to approximately 142 Mmcfd of natural gas and 1,041 Mmcfd of liquid natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2043.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 1,278.09 Mmboe, comprised of 921.43 bcf of natural gas reserves and 6,747.07 bcf of liquid natural gas reserves.
