U Minh is a conventional gas development located in shallow water in Vietnam and is operated by Jadestone Energy. According to GlobalData, who tracks more than 34,000 active and developing oil and gas fields worldwide, U Minh was discovered in 1997, lies in block Block 51, with water depth of around 164 feet. The project is currently in approval stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2023. The U Minh conventional gas development will involve the drilling of approximately two wells and includes FPSO and wellhead platforms.

Production from U Minh
Production from the U Minh conventional gas development project is expected to begin in 2025 and is forecast to peak in 2026, to approximately 910 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 65 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2032.
Remaining recoverable reserves
The field is expected to recover 13.79 Mmboe, comprised of 1.07 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 76.30 bcf of natural gas reserves.
