Uquo is a producing conventional gas field located onshore Nigeria and is operated by Frontier Oil. According to GlobalData, who tracks more than 34,000 active and developing oil and gas fields worldwide, the field is located in block Uquo (OML 13). Buy the profile here.

An expansion project is associated with the Uquo, namely the Uquo Compression Project. This project is currently in the feasibility stage, expected to start in 2024.

Field participation details

The field is owned by Frontier Oil and Savannah Energy.

Production from Uquo

The Uquo conventional gas field recovered 30.06% of its total recoverable reserves, with peak production in 2022. The peak production was approximately 0.90 thousand bpd of crude oil and condensate and 135.00 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2054. The field currently accounts for approximately 1% of the country’s daily output.

Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 102.68 Mmboe, comprised of 3.87 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 592.84 bcf of natural gas reserves. Uquo conventional gas field reserves accounts 0.04% of total remaining reserves of producing conventional gas fields globally.
