Ourse is a conventional oil development located in deepwater in the US and is operated by Murphy Exploration & Production. The field has water depth of around 4,091 feet.

The project is currently in feed stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2022. The development cost is expected to be $275 m.

The field is owned by Murphy Oil, Ridgewood Energy, ILX Holdings II and Red Willow Production.


Production from Ourse

Production from the Ourse conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2022 and is forecast to peak in 2024, to approximately 6,450 bpd of crude oil and condensate and 5 Mmcfd of natural gas. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2037.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 18.9 Mmboe, comprised of 16.54 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate and 14.16 bcf of natural gas reserves.
