Permian Basin Shale witnessed a decrease of 7.22% in total oil and gas production to 80,32,703.62 boe/d in January 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in Permian Basin grew 7.14% in January 2022 from 74,97,330.02 boe/d in January 2021. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play increased by 7.14% from the same period in 2021.
In Permian Basin, oil production declined 7.8% in January 2022 as compared with the previous month, while gas production decreased by 6.76% to 19,054.82 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play increased by 8.01% in 2022 when compared with the same period in 2021, while gas production rose by 9.35%. Out of the total oil and gas production in January 2022, oil held a 53.51% share, while gas had a 40.9% share.
