Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered an increase of 4% with a total of 28 contracts in August 2021, when compared with 27 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked an increase of 8%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 26 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with 12 contracts and a 43% share in August 2021, followed by Asia-Pacific and Middle East with nine (32%) and three (11%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 23 contracts, followed by procurement and construction with 16 and eight contracts, respectively.
