Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 64% with a total of 14 contracts in January 2022, when compared with 39 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 46%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 26 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position with six contracts and a 43% share in January 2022, followed by Asia-Pacific and Middle East with five (36%) and two (14%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering and procurement with nine contracts each, followed by construction with five contracts.
