Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered an increase of 15% with a total of 31 contracts in July 2022, when compared with 27 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked an increase of 29%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 24 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 25 contracts and an 81% share in July 2022, followed by Middle East and Europe with three (10%) and two (6%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the procurement with 24 contracts, followed by design & engineering and construction with 15 and five contracts, respectively.
