Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 59% with a total of 13 contracts in October 2021, when compared with 32 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 50%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 26 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the petrochemicals segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with five contracts and a 38% share in October 2021, followed by Middle East and Europe with four (31%) and three (23%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 11 contracts, followed by procurement and operations & maintenance with six and five contracts, respectively.
