Contracts in the petrochemicals oil and gas segment registered a decrease of 39% with 54 contracts in Q4 2021, when compared with 89 contracts in the previous quarter, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

The activity marked a decrease of 33%, when compared with the last four-quarter average of 81 contracts.

Asia-Pacific led the contracts activity for petrochemicals segment, with 22 contracts and a 41% share in Q4 2021, followed by Middle East and Europe with 13 (24%) and 10 (19%) contracts, respectively.

During the quarter, the majority of contracts in the petrochemicals segment were awarded in the design & engineering with 37 contracts, followed by procurement and operations & maintenance with 21 and 14 contracts, respectively.
