The petrochemicals segment contracts in Europe registered an increase of 71% with 12 contracts in August 2021, when compared with the previous month’s total of seven contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
A total of 12 contracts were registered in the petrochemicals segment of Europe during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of seven contracts.
Contract award activity in Europe’s petrochemicals segment during August 2021
In August 2021, Russia led the activity with eight contracts and a 67% share of the petrochemicals oil and gas contracts in Europe. It saw an increase of 60% over the previous month’s total of five contracts and an increase of 100% when compared with the last 12 month-average of four contracts in Russia.
In second place was Poland with two contracts and a 17% share, followed by Portugal with one contract and an 8% share.
Based on 12-month moving average of the contracts in the petrochemicals segment of Europe, Russia took the top spot with four contracts, followed by Norway with one contract.

During the month, the majority of petrochemicals segment contracts awarded in the Europe were in the design & engineering with 10 contracts, followed by procurement with eight contracts.
