The petrochemicals segment contracts in Europe registered a decrease of 9% with 10 contracts in Q2 2022, when compared with the previous quarter’s total of 11 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
A total of 10 contracts were registered in the petrochemicals segment of Europe during the quarter, when compared with the last four-quarter moving average of 17 contracts.
Contract award activity in Europe’s petrochemicals segment during Q2 2022
Looking at the total oil and gas contracts by country in the petrochemicals segment of Europe, Russia led the activity in Q2 2022 with four contracts and a 40% share. It saw an increase of 100% over the previous quarter’s total of two contracts and a decrease of 43% when compared with the last four-quarter-average of seven contracts in Russia, followed by Slovakia and Belgium with one contract 10% share each.
Based on five-quarter moving average of the contracts in the petrochemicals segment of Europe, Russia took the top spot with six contracts, followed by Norway and Poland with two contracts each.

During the quarter, the majority of petrochemicals segment contracts awarded in the Europe were in the procurement with eight contracts, followed by design & engineering and installation with four and two contracts, respectively.
