Contracts in the pipeline segment in the oil and gas industry registered a decrease in activity by 44% in June 2022 with a total of 19 contracts, when compared with the previous month’s total of 34 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
A total of 19 contracts were recorded in the pipeline sector globally during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 36 contracts.
In June 2022, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were in the onshore pipeline sub-segment with 17 contracts and an 81% share. Offshore pipeline sub-segment witnessed four contracts, during the month.

Asia-Pacific held the top position with seven contracts and a 37% share during June 2022, followed by Europe and Middle East with five contracts (26%) and four contracts (21%), respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were awarded in the procurement with 11 contracts, followed by design & engineering and operations & maintenance with six and five contracts, respectively.
