Contracts in the pipeline segment in the oil and gas industry registered a decrease in activity by 42% in November 2022 with a total of 11 contracts, when compared with the previous month’s total of 19 contracts, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.

A total of 11 contracts were recorded in the pipeline sector globally during the month, when compared with the last 12-month moving average of 36 contracts.


In November 2022, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were in the onshore pipeline sub-segment with nine contracts and a 56% share. Offshore pipeline sub-segment witnessed seven contracts, during the month.

Asia-Pacific, Europe and Middle East held the top position with three contracts and a 27% share each during November 2022.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the pipeline segment were awarded in the procurement with five contracts, followed by operations & maintenance and construction with four and three contracts, respectively.
