Located in National Capital in Papua New Guinea, the PNG I LNG liquefaction terminal is operated by ExxonMobil PNG. The terminal started operations in 2014 and is owned by Exxon Mobil, Oil Search, Kumul Petroleum Holdings, Santos, JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration, Mineral Resources Development, and Marubeni.

With two trains, the PNG I terminal has an LNG production capacity of 6.9Mtpa (million tons per annum), which is expected to remain the same as 6.9Mtpa by 2030.
Approximately 113.77% of the installed capacity is committed through long-term contracts, which amounts to roughly 7.85Mtpa.
