Powder River Shale witnessed a decrease of 3.15% in total oil and gas production to 2,83,150.05 boe/d in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production in Powder River declined 9.02% in December 2021 from 3,11,214.96 boe/d in December 2020. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 6.65% from the same period in 2020.

In Powder River, oil production declined 2.93% in December 2021 as compared with the previous month, while gas production decreased by 3.36% to 818.55 mmcf/d.

On a YTD basis, oil production in the play decreased by 10.33% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production declined by 2.42%. Out of the total oil and gas production in December 2021, oil held a 50.16% share, while gas had a 49.84% share.
