San Joaquin Shale witnessed an increase of 4.45% in total oil and gas production to 3,34,270.1 boe/d in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production in San Joaquin declined 7.65% in February 2022 from 3,61,940.53 boe/d in February 2021. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 7.35% from the same period in 2021.
In San Joaquin, oil production grew 4.35% in February 2022 as compared with the previous month, while gas production increased by 4.96% to 318.89 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production in the play decreased by 6.08% in 2022 when compared with the same period in 2021, while gas production declined by 13.35%. Out of the total oil and gas production in February 2022, oil held an 83.55% share, while gas had a 16.45% share.
In San Joaquin, Chevron emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 90,567.37 boe/d in February 2022, an increase of 3.51% from the previous month. The company held a 31.8% share in oil production and 3.21% share in gas production in February 2022.
