Scoop Stack Shale witnessed a decrease of 1.19% in total oil and gas production to 4,54,231.12 boe/d in July 2020 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production in Scoop Stack declined 20.44% in July 2020 from 5,70,964.49 boe/d in July 2019. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in the play decreased by 14.81% from the same period in 2019.

In Scoop Stack, oil production grew 3.36% in July 2020 as compared with the previous month, while gas production decreased by 17.06% to 492.75 mmcf/d.

On a YTD basis, oil production in the play decreased by 15% in 2020 when compared with the same period in 2019, while gas production declined by 14.15%. Out of the total oil and gas production in July 2020, oil held an 81.3% share, while gas had an 18.7% share.


In Scoop Stack, Continental Resources emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 79,132.77 boe/d in July 2020, an increase of 3.57% from the previous month. The company held a 17.87% share in oil production and 15.48% share in gas production in July 2020.

On a YTD basis, the company registered an 11.12% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2019.



Compared with other counties within Scoop Stack Shale, Grady county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 22.38% share in July 2020. The county witnessed an 18.12% increase in production to 1,01,643.32 boe/d in July 2020 when compared with the previous month.

On a YTD basis, it registered an increase of 2.03% in total production from the same period in 2019.
