Trine is a conventional oil development located in shallow water in Norway and is operated by Aker BP. Discovered in 1973, Trine lies in block 25/4P (PL 036) and 25/4P (PL 036 E), with water depth of around 397 feet.

The project is currently in feasibility stage and is expected to start commercial production in 2025. Final investment decision (FID) of the project will be approved in 2022.

The field is owned by Lundin Energy, Petoro, Grupa Lotos and Aker BP.


Production from Trine

Production from the Trine conventional oil development project is expected to begin in 2025 and is forecast to peak in 2025, to approximately 9,468 bpd of crude oil and condensate. Based on economic assumptions, the production will continue until the field reaches its economic limit in 2036.


Remaining recoverable reserves

The field is expected to recover 9.41 Mmboe, comprised of 9.41 Mmbbl of crude oil & condensate.
