Contracts in the upstream oil and gas segment registered an increase of 5% with a total of 346 contracts in June 2022, when compared with 331 contracts in the previous month, according to GlobalData’s oil and gas contracts database.
The activity marked a decrease of 6%, when compared with the last 12-month average of 368 contracts.

By comparing contracts related to the upstream segment in different regions of the globe, North America held the top position with 124 contracts and a 36% share in June 2022, followed by Europe and Asia-Pacific with 100 (29%) and 53 (15%) contracts, respectively.

During the month, the majority of contracts in the upstream segment were awarded in the operations & maintenance with 231 contracts, followed by procurement and design & engineering with 80 and 49 contracts, respectively.
