Western Route Export, Azerbaijan

Western Route Export is an 837km-long onshore, shallow water pipeline project operated by Azerbaijan International Operating. This oil pipeline, with a maximum diameter of 21 inches, starts at Caspian Sea (Azerbaijan) and ends in Guria (Georgia).

The Western Route Export project started operations in 1999 and is owned by BP , State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas , Inpex , Equinor , Exxon Mobil , Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakligi , Itochu , and Oil and Natural Gas .

The Western Route Export project is associated with the 1076km BTC (Turkey Section), 692km BTC (Azerbaijan and Georgia Section) and 231km Northern Route Export.
