Western Route Export is an 837km-long onshore, shallow water pipeline project operated by Azerbaijan International Operating. This oil pipeline, with a maximum diameter of 21 inches, starts at Caspian Sea (Azerbaijan) and ends in Guria (Georgia).

The Western Route Export project started operations in 1999 and is owned by BP, State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas, Inpex, Equinor, Exxon Mobil, Turkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortakligi, Itochu, and Oil and Natural Gas.


The Western Route Export project is associated with the 1076km BTC (Turkey Section), 692km BTC (Azerbaijan and Georgia Section) and 231km Northern Route Export.
