Wyoming witnessed a decrease of 1.3% in total oil and gas production to 866,061 boe/d in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.
The oil and gas production declined 4.89% in August 2021 from 910,581.65 boe/d in August 2020. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2021 decreased by 7.03% from the same period in 2020.
In August 2021, oil production grew 0.39% to 234,819.39 bd as against the previous month, while gas production declined by 1.92% to 3,661.2 mmcf/d.
On a YTD basis, oil production decreased by 5.6% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production declined by 7.52%. Out of the total oil and gas production in August 2021, oil held a 27.11% share, while gas had a 72.88% share.
In Wyoming, Ultra Petroleum emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 131,214.41 boe/d in August 2021, a decrease of 2.7% from the previous month. The company held a 2.12% share in oil production and 20% share in gas production in August 2021.
On a YTD basis, the company registered a 20.13% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2020.
Compared with other counties in Wyoming, Sublette county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 38.02% share in August 2021. The county witnessed a 3.13% decrease in production to 329,252.18 boe/d in August 2021 when compared with the previous month.
On a YTD basis, Sublette registered a decline of 14.5% in total production from the same period in 2020.
