Wyoming witnessed a decrease of 2.42% in total oil and gas production to 8,55,487.94 boe/d in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s USL48 database.

The oil and gas production declined by 5.95% in August 2021 from 9,09,585.11 boe/d in August 2020. On a YTD basis, the total oil and gas production in 2021 decreased by 7.2% from the same period in 2020.

In August 2021, oil production declined by 0.39% to 2,32,329 bd as against the previous month, while gas production declined by 3.15% to 3,614.32 mmcf/d.

On a YTD basis, oil production decreased by 5.69% in 2021 when compared with the same period in 2020, while gas production declined by 7.72%. Out of the total oil and gas production in August 2021, oil held a 27.16% share, while gas had a 72.84% share.

In Wyoming, Ultra Petroleum emerged as the largest oil and gas producer, recording a total oil and gas production at 1,31,163.48 boe/d in August 2021, a decrease of 2.69% from the previous month. The company held a 2.14% share in oil production and 20.25% share in gas production in August 2021.

On a YTD basis, the company registered a 20.12% decrease in total oil and gas production from the same period in 2020.

 


 

Compared with other counties in Wyoming, Sublette county recorded the highest oil and gas production, holding a 38.47% share in August 2021. The county witnessed a 3.15% decrease in production to 3,29,097.76 boe/d in August 2021 when compared with the previous month.

On a YTD basis, Sublette registered a decline of 14.49% in total production from the same period in 2020.
