Norwegian engineering company Aker Solutions has launched its Intelligent Subsea field design system to accelerate offshore developments and optimise performance.
The intelligent subsea approach reduces time to generate optimal subsea field layouts by 75% and can reduce field development cost capital expenditures by 50%.
The field development acceleration can be achieved with the combination of the company’s modular and optimised subsea equipment with automated design, which is capable of reducing engineering hours by up to 70%.
Intelligent Subsea will address the needs of subsea production by implementing an integrated approach to field design where subsea and topside systems are optimised. It also allows digitally enabled products to be configured to customers’ needs, within accelerated timelines.
Additionally, it optimises the performance of the field life with enhanced recovery and extends field life through condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and simplified system enhancement.
Aker Solutions CEO Luis Araujo said: “Digitalisation of our work process and new applications are transforming field design, radically accelerating development and delivering actionable insight to maximise performance through the life of a field.
