Cosasco, a provider of corrosion and erosion monitoring solutions, has secured a contract from Afcons Infrastructure to deliver corrosion monitoring systems to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
Under the contract, the company has to install 132 intrusive electrical-resistant probes, 22 corrosion coupons and 11 bio probes across 11 unmanned offshore platforms at the LEWPP-II project.
The company will also provide Cosasco Care Services such as technical consultancy, manufacturing, post-sales support and a long-term warranty.
The contract is worth $380,000.
Cosasco is currently manufacturing the products for delivery and installation in the first half of 2018.
The corrosion monitoring system will offer critical information to support informed decision making that extends asset life, maximises production and minimises the risk of outages.
Cosasco business manager India Kuldeep Jain said: “We’re proud to be part of this prestigious project with ONGC. As a technology leader we strive to deliver excellence at every step of the process, from design and delivery through to post-sales support.
“This is underpinned by our global footprint, which gives clients direct access to our in-house experts, so they can be confident in the quality and reliability of our solutions.”
In February, Cosasco signed an exclusive partnership with Sensorlink, which manufactures and supplies high-resolution, non-intrusive corrosion and erosion monitoring technologies for oil and gas, chemical, power and water-treatment industries.
As per the agreement, Cosasco will market, sell and distribute its Sensorlink’s PipeMonit SWARM technology worldwide.
PipeMonit SWARM is a fixed-point, online, ultrasonic monitoring solution offering precise, reliable and repeatable pipe wall thickness measurements, all in real-time.
Cosasco provides corrosion control solutions from consultancy to manufacturing, in-field support and long-term maintenance.
