Oil and gas services provider Danos has secured multiple contracts from Shell Exploration and Production Company for its Enchilada platform.
The company will provide integrated operations on Shell’s Enchilada platform located in the Gulf of Mexico. Approximately 80 Danos employees are set to carry out work on the Enchilada platform.
The production, construction, scaffolding and coatings service lines of Danos are currently working on the asset, which is about 274km southwest of New Orleans.
Danos owner Mark Danos said: “By working together on the same platform, Danos can integrate operations and share project resources to be more efficient, minimising both the risk and cost involved.”
The facility upgrade project started in April and is expected to run until November 2019. It requires multiple skill sets, including welders, fitters, riggers, scaffold builders and project managers. Danos will also perform coatings remediation on more than 90,000ft² of facility infrastructure and production equipment, beginning in June 2019.
Danos said in a statement: “Many of our crews have a level of familiarity with Shell assets and a high level of customer service that our clients have come to expect. We are pleased to have the opportunity to continue providing quality service to Shell.”
