Serica Energy Plc has entered a sale and purchase agreement for oil and gas assets located in the UK North Sea from Total E&P UK Limited for $20m.

The UK North Sea assets comprise 42.25% interest in the Bruce field and 25% interest in the Keith field.

Total E&P will retain 1% interest in the Bruce field, following the deal.

The deal aims to help Serica Energy expand its oil and gas assets portfolio in the UK North Sea.

Norwegian offshore equipment provider JB Well Solutions has entered a joint venture agreement along with Scottish entrepreneurs Robbie Garden and Robbie Gray to improve safety in the oil and gas industry.

The new JV aims to target the UK market and provide better services to its customers. It also aims to strengthen its footprint in the UK oil and gas market.

Petrofac has won a five-year contract extension to continue to provide support services for Oranje-Nassau Energie Resources’ (ONE) Sean field asset located in the Southern North Sea (SNS).

The $20m contract includes operations and maintenance, engineering, training, and asset management support.

Based in the UK, Petrofac provides engineering and production services business, while ONE, also based in the UK, is an energy company and subsidiary of Oranje-Nassau Energie BV.

Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract by Nexen to provide subsea services for the Buzzard Phase 2 project located off the north-east coast of Scotland. The contract value ranges between $50m and $150m.

The contract includes project management, engineering, procurement, construction and installation of a 5km pipeline and associated well and platform tie-ins. It also includes providing a heavy-lift vessel for transport and installation of the new topside module being used for the project.

DNV GL has been awarded a cross-service contract to provide support services for the Penguins field redevelopment project located on the UK Continental Shelf.

The company will provide integrated verification and class services for the Penguins floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.

DNV GL is a Norway-based provider of classification, technical assurance, independent expert advisory, and certification services for the oil and gas industry.
