Subsea 7 has received a contract from Shell to provide the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services for the Penguins redevelopment project in the North Sea, UK.

The Penguins oil and gas field is located 150 miles (241.4km) north-east of the Shetland Islands in water depth of 165m.

The EPCI contract includes fabrication of two pipeline bundles comprising pipe-in-pipe production flowlines, gas lift flowlines and control systems. It also includes the fabrication of a 9km-long, 16in-diameter gas export pipeline, flexible riser system, umbilical riser system and subsea tie-ins.

The project management and engineering works are expected to begin immediately, while the offshore works are anticipated to start between 2020 and 2021.

Based in the UK, Subsea 7 is a provider of subsea engineering, construction and services for the offshore industry, while Shell is a Dutch oil and gas company.

TechnipFMC has been contracted by Woodside to provide upgradation services to the offshore Pluto platform located 190km off the coast of Western Australia.

The contractual scope includes the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of the Pluto water handling module on the platform.

The module will be installed on the existing Pluto Alpha gas production platform and will have water separation and treatment facilities, as well as upgraded power generation facilities.

Based in the UK, TechnipFMC is a provider of subsea, offshore and onshore services, while Woodside is an Australian oil and gas company.

The NHV Group has secured a five-year contract from Dana Petroleum to provide helicopter services for the latter’s central and northern assets located in the North Sea.

The contract includes the operation of daily flights from NHV’s base in Aberdeen to the Triton FPSO in the Central North Sea and the Western Isles FPSO in the East Shetland Basin.

The flight services for the project will be enabled by NHV’s state-of-the-art H175 aircraft, a Super Medium type Airbus helicopter specifically designed to meet the growing needs of the oil and gas industry.
