Norwegian firm DOF Subsea has secured a marine operations turnkey contract with respect to a decommissioning project by floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) operator Teekay Petrojarl.

Under the contract, DOF Subsea will provide project management, engineering, procurement, as well as other offshore marine operations.

The offshore works specifically include preparatory works at the sites, including temporary mooring system installation, towing operations, as well as risers and mooring systems’ recovery.

DOF Subsea said it will use a variety of vessels from the fleet of DOF Group for the offshore works.

The company will deploy Skandi Acergy, Skandi Iceman, as well as Skandi Hera in addition to the third-party vessels.

The decommissioning project has already commenced and is expected to wrap up within the fourth quarter of this year.
