Vryhof and its unit Deep Sea Mooring (DSM) have signed an agreement to provide mooring and associated equipment to Diamond Offshore’s rigs.
Under the agreement, DSM will also work with Diamond Offshore to develop the latter’s Mooring Integrity Management System (MIMS) for offshore operations.

Developed by Diamond Offshore in conjunction with DSM’s experts, MIMS covers procurement standards, inspection and maintenance standards.
It will also cover certification requirements, operational practices, risk exposure and protocols, and design and assessment standards.
As part of the base package in the agreement, DSM will provide a range of mooring equipment, engineering and rig services expertise to Diamond Offshore.
Vryhof Group CEO Wolfgang Wandl said: “Not only are we committing to a ten-year partnership agreement for the provision of mooring equipment to Diamond, but we will also be working closely together on the latest advanced mooring integrity management systems with regular meetings throughout the year.”

Last April, Vryhof businesses DSM and Vryhof Anchors secured a contract to provide mooring and anchoring services to Cooper Energy in Australia.
Both the businesses also secured contracts in Cooper Energy’s main target drilling area – offshore Victoria in Australia.
Diamond Offshore offers contract drilling services to the global energy industry and has a total fleet of 17 offshore drilling rigs.
