James Fisher Subsea Excavation (JFSE) has formed a joint venture (JV) with Chinese offshore project, vessel and marine equipment provider Ocean Team Asia-Pacific (OTAP).

The James Fisher Ocean Team JV will work to provide improved service to its clients in China.

It will also maintain necessary equipment permanently in the country to ensure efficient mobilisation.

Local operational and project management personnel will be deployed to deliver JFSE’s mass/controlled flow excavation (M/CFE) services along with its global experts.

JFSE Asia-Pacific regional director Richard Beattie said: “Establishing this new venture shows our level of commitment to clients in China and significantly enhances the services we can provide.

“Increasing our presence here is part of our strategic development plan for the continued growth of our business.”

“We are confident our M/CFE tools and expertise will play a vital role in increasing the time and cost-efficiencies on a wide range of projects emerging in the oil and gas and renewables sectors.
