PetrolinkUSA has made an investment in Energy Services International (ESI) to acquire controlling equity in the company.

Based in the US, PetrolinkUSA is involved in the provision of customised fluid cleaning services to petrochemicals and refining companies, while ESI provides a variety of services to refinery and petrochemical operations.

The transaction will strengthen PetrolinkUSA’s service offerings in the US.

Total has acquired UK-based Marathon Oil Libya from Marathon Oil Corporation for $450m.

Marathon Oil Libya owns a 16.33% non-operated interest in the concessions of the Waha oilfield, which is located in the Sirte Basin of eastern Libya.

The ownership structure will change to National Oil (59.18%), Total (16.33%), ConocoPhillips (16.33%) and Hess (8.16%) following the acquisition and Marathon Oil Libya will withdraw its operations from Libya.
