A consortium of Technip and PT Wijaya Karya has secured an onshore lump sum contract from PT Pertamina EP for the Matindok gas development project located in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The contract includes engineering, procurement, construction and installation of gas well pads, flowlines, pipelines as well as a central processing plant with a capacity of 672 million cubic metres of gas a year.

It will also include work on gas treatment facilities like acid gas removals, sulphur removal and related infrastructure.

Gas from Matindok central processing plant will be transported to the Donggi Senoro liquefied natural gas plant.

Technip’s operating centre in Jakarta, Indonesia, will undertake the detailed engineering and procurement of critical process equipment.

PT Wijaya will undertake the construction activities and the procurement of major items.

Technip president in Asia Pacific KK Lim said that the company’s experience in delivering EPC contracts will ensure that the project is delivered to the highest standards of safety and quality.

"We are delighted to be renewing our ties with our client Pertamina and supporting them in bringing the Matindok field onstream," Lim added.

The project is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016.
