UK-based technical training and consultancy services provider TTE Technical Training Group has been selected by Nigeria Liquid Natural Gas (NLNG) to deliver a process industry induction training programme for the West African energy industry.
NLNG selected TTE to provide a comprehensive new entrant process operator programme on Teesside for 28 trainees, which is expected to last for a period of six months.

The NLNG employees will undertake a technical programme consisting of a cross-section of process, basic engineering and instrumentation modules that will include working on simulator rigs that replicate real industry scenarios.
TTE will deliver a range of courses in health and safety and leadership, and also provide extra-curricular and social activities for the trainees, including the opportunity to experience activities and British culture, to increase the cultural awareness, leadership, and team building skills of the trainees. Activities such as orienteering, canoeing and assault courses and an Outward Bound course in the Lake District will provide a range of experiences outside of the core programme.
TTE Technical Training Group managing director Steve Grant said the project demonstrates the way UK expertise is respected on an international scale.
"The contract also further cements the strong relationships that TTE has established with West Africa. We have delivered specialist, bespoke training to the region for a number of years and this project highlights our position as a valued training provider for African industry," Grant added.
