Air Products has secured a contract to supply two sets of its LNG technology, equipment and process licenses for Freeport LNG’s liquefaction and export project in the US.

The contract requires Air Products to supply two main cryogenic coil wound heat exchangers and the associated equipment and technology.

The heat exchangers are expected to be on-stream in 2018.

Air Products will deliver its LNG proprietary AP-C3MR liquefaction technology and equipment, as well as MCR main cryogenic heat exchanger.

Air Products LNG director Jim Solomon said: "We are pleased to be supporting this project and play a significant role in what will be one of the first LNG export terminals in the US.

"We look forward to continued involvement in the US export market as other projects proceed to development."

"Air Products’ LNG heat exchanger technology is operating right now at many locations around the world, however, these will be among the first of our exchangers to operate right here in the US.
