Atlas Pipeline Partners is to build a new 200 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) cryogenic processing plant at its West Texas facility for $200m.
The firm will carry out the construction of the new plant in two phases.
The first phase involves building the plant and associated compression equipment to process 100mmcfd; this phase will be in service in the first quarter of 2013.
Under the second phase, additional compression and refrigeration equipment will be installed to increase the plant’s capacity to 200mmcfd; this phase will begin operations in the first quarter of 2015.
On completion of both phases, the West Texas facility’s processing unit will increase its capacity from 255mmcfd to 455mmcfd.
