EnVen Energy Ventures LLC has agreed to spend $425m to buy a 100% stake in Brutus/Glider assets in Green Canyon in the US Gulf of Mexico from Shell Offshore Inc.
The Brutus/Glider assets comprise Brutus Tension Leg Platform (TLP), the Glider subsea production system, and the oil and gas lateral pipelines. The assets offer a combined production rate of approximately 25,000boed.

The amount raised from the sale is intended to be used by Shell to partly fund the acquisition price of BG Group.
The deal is scheduled for completion in October 2016.
Seabird Exploration PLC has agreed to acquire Hawk Explorer research vessel and associated seismic equipment. The deal implies a purchase consideration of $1.1m.
The 66m-long Hawk Explorer is a Bahamas-flagged vessel built in 1984.
