Noble Corporation plc subsidiary Noble Holding International Limited intends to raise $500m through issuing senior unsecured notes.
The company has selected BNP Paribas Securities Corp, Mizuho Securities USA Inc, SMBC Nikko Securities America, and Standard Chartered Bank as underwriters for the offering.
The amount raised from the offering is intended to be used by the company to fund the purchase price and accrued interest of certain senior secured notes, and for general corporate purposes.
Rosneft Oil Company has agreed to buy up to 35% interest in the Shorouk Concession from IEOC, a subsidiary of Eni SpA, for approximately $1.57bn.
The concession includes Zohr gasfield, located in the deepwaters of Mediterranean Sea in offshore Egypt. Eni currently owns 100% interest in the concession.
The field covers an area of approximately 100km² in a depth of approximately 1,500m. It is estimated to hold approximately 30 trillion cubic feet of gas. The first gas from the field is expected in late-2017.
The deal will allow Rosneft to expand its oil and gas assets portfolio, offshore Egypt.
AziNor Catalyst Ltd has agreed to acquire 50% operating interest in P2243 licence in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) from Zennor North Sea Limited.
Extending over an area of 188km², the P2243 licence includes Block 14/17a.
The licence will be owned by AziNor Catalyst (50%, operator) and Zennor (50%) upon completion of the transaction.
