Technip has signed a $500m deal with Mellitah Oil & Gas BV Libyan Branch to develop Bahr Essalam oilfield, Phase II in the Central Mediterranean Sea.

Mellitah Oil & Gas is a consortium formed by National Oil Corporation and Eni North Africa.

Located 100km off the coast of Libya, the field will be tied back to the Sabratha platform. The contract includes overall design, detailed engineering and project management, along with procurement, installation, tie-ins, topsides modifications, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

The offshore installation works are scheduled for completion by the second half of 2018.

Leviathan gas field operator Noble Energy and its co-partners Avner, Delek and Ratio Oil, have agreed to supply natural gas to IPM power plant in Be’er Tuviya in a deal worth $3bn.

Under the agreement, up to 13 billion cubic metres of gas from the field will be delivered to the power plant for 18 years.

Aqualis Offshore has received a contract to deliver position-keeping services for installation of the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit of Ichthys LNG project.

The FPSO vessel will be positioned at Ichthys gas and condensate field in the Browse Basin, 220km away from offshore Western Australia.

The Ichthys LNG project is a joint venture of Inpex (operator) Total, CPC Corporation, Taiwan (CPC), Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric, Chubu Electric Power and Toho Gas.
