Atkins will also provide support across the non-operating assets of ENI, as well as any future developments.

According to the UK-based engineering, design, planning, project management and consulting services company Atkins, the assets include the Blacktip Field (WHP and onshore gas plant) and the Kitan Field.

"Atkins will also provide support across the non-operating assets of ENI, as well as any future developments."

Atkins Oil and Gas in Perth operations director Nick Wells said: "Having previously worked on a number of projects with ENI in Australia, we have been able to build on the quality of these previous engagements and further demonstrate our ability to respond to the multidisciplinary technical demands and challenges that face our industry.

"The broad scope of activity involved will be led and delivered from our regional hub here in Perth, supported by expertise and personnel from our other international oil and gas hubs in the UK, Middle East and US."
