Enterprise Products Partners is to expand its natural gas and natural gas liquids infrastructure in South Texas, US, to accommodate production growth from the Eagle Ford Shale play.

As part of the expansion, the firm will construct a train at its Yoakum cryogenic natural gas processing facility in Lavaca County, Texas.

The firm will also build 62 miles of pipeline loops and increase horsepower compression to gather and transport an additional 300MMcf per day of rich Eagle Ford Shale gas.

Currently, the Yoakum natural gas processing facility has a daily capacity of 600MMcf under construction, and is expected to begin service in the second quarter of 2012.

This expansion is expected to start production in the first quarter of 2013.
