UK-based Exillon Energy has confirmed 17.1m of net oil pay in well EWS I-18 in west Siberia.
The well was drilled directionally 1.3km to the south from well pad 4.
The well flowed water-free oil naturally to the surface with a flow rate of 596bpd on an 8mm choke and 818bpd on a 10mm choke.
In addition, the well encountered the Jurassic P reservoir at 1,807m, confirming 17.1m of effective net oil pay within the Jurassic.
Once the testing is completed, the well will be connected to the production facilities.
Exillon Energy contains assets in two oil-rich regions of Russia: Timan-Pechora and West Siberia.
