Hilong Petroleum has secured a contract to provide a Hilong 106 pipe-laying derrick barge for Timas’s gasfield development in offshore Indonesia.
The contract to install jackets for the HCML Madura MDA – MBH offshore project is Hilong’s first offshore lifting operation contract.
China National Offshore Oil and Husky are jointly funding the project.
The company will implement the project in the ocean region of Java, Indonesia.
Work is set to begin in mid-November, with plans for completion by the end of February 2017.

In a separate announcement, Hilong Oil Service & Engineering Albania said that the company’s HL-30 drilling team started work on exploratory well Shiprag-3 in the Shell-owned Albania Block 2-3.
The block’s oil deposit is at a depth of 6,000m-7,000m underground and has complex geological structure.
The ZJ90DB drilling rig HL-30 has been primarily designed for oil and natural gas exploration and development wells of depths between 6,500m and 9,000m.
